Founded in 1999, FBR CABLES
has experienced different stages by becoming the first Moroccan distributor of products related to the world of optical fiber and specializing over the years to become the leading manufacturer of fiber optic cables in Morocco. Equipped with production machines capable of producing all types of optical cables from 2 to 720 fibers and an annual production capacity of 24,000 km of cables. The production and testing machines come from Austria and Germany, the staff is qualified, experienced and efficient. The company capitalizes on its excellent commercial and technical know-how to win new market shares in Morocco and abroad against its biggest.

1999: creation of the company as a joint venture between Youssef Jennat and the Spanish group FIBEROPT sl. Already on this date, this association confirmed the interest of Spanish operators in the potential of the fiber optic sector (F.O) in Morocco in the image of the boom known in Western Europe. The company was able to establish privileged relations with the historical operator MAROC TELECOM and its engineering teams. In addition, a framework contract for the supply of fiber optic accessories and a training agreement have been signed for this purpose and duly honored by FBR.
2004: After a phase of discovery of the local market Y. Jennat takes over the shares of the Spanish associates because of strategic divergences. Indeed, the latter wanting to limit FBR Morocco in a role of pure “trader”, dismissed the idea of launching a unit assembly and customization accessories related to the F.O.
2006: the investment initiated and self-financed by Youssef Jennat in 2004 (design laboratory and installation workshop of FO accessories, connectors …) is bearing fruit in particular with the advent of telecom operators and the development plan of infrastructure across the Kingdom.
2010: FBR Morocco confirms its vocation of global supplier of solutions in F.O. Following the obtaining of the ISO 9001 quality certificate in 2008, other projects have enriched the references of FBR Maroc as the mega port TANGER MED, TECHNOPOLIS, CASANEAR SHORE …
2012 – 2013: FBR Morocco becomes the asserted partner of the most important installers and developers of Morocco in the field of telecom networks, FTTH … It is also the year when the strategic project of setting up the 1st production unit of fiber optic cables matures as the maturity of the local and regional market permits.
2013 – 2016: FBR Morocco launches its own production of fiber optic cables, the third in Africa, and becomes FBR CABLES. The production plant is located in the industrial park of Bouskoura near Casablanca and has several production lines. FBR CABLES begins production and exports mainly to countries in sub-Saharan Africa but also in Europe and even Australia.
2021 – 2022 : FBR cables started expansion plan increasing the production capacity and new building in Berrechid (Province of the Casablanca-Settat region of Morocco)
